Scope of works
The project scope includes the delivery of four major greenfield structural foundations, requiring the placement of over 14,000 cubic metres of concrete across multiple large-scale pours.
Key structures include foundations for the SAG Mill, Ball Mill, Primary Crusher and Rougher Scavenger Floatation facilities.
Delivery
Catalpa managed and executed a series of major concrete pours, supported by detailed pour planning process, encompassing concrete forecasting, traffic management, shift planning, fatigue management and quality control.
Careful coordination and sequencing ensured pours were delivered efficiently and to specification, supporting the integration of new processing infrastructure within the broader KCGM Growth project.
Outcome
All major concrete works were successfully delivered in line with project requirements, providing critical structural foundations for the expansion of the processing plant. The completed works support increased operational capacity and long-term infrastructure performance.
Conclusion
The KCGM Growth project demonstrates Catalpa’s capability to deliver complex, high-volume concrete works for large-scale industrial and resources infrastructure. Through disciplined planning and execution, Catalpa continues to support major infrastructure developments across Western Australia.
